Plantain Farming:

Cassava was more aggressive than Plantain. Plantains love sun and water.

You can plant both together but there is a way u can plant them that they will not disturb each other.

Just plant like one to two cassava between two plantain trees and you are good.

Don't plant the two at the same time. Plant plantain first and let it germinate and after a month or so u can plant your cassava. Cassava has rapid growth but because you planted plantain ahead of it, it will not catch up with it. Then secondly don't your cassava close to ur plantain. As u are planting ur cassava, make sure u give enough distance around ur plantain. Dis will give opportunity for enough air for ur plantain to sucker and also grow well.
